Who Are We?

A Community where People Matter to One Another
We are called to love our neighbor as ourselves and this is very evident not only within our church, but also within our community. A serious illness touches one of our members - calls and text messages start flying - do you need a ride to appointments, do you need meals brought in, how can we help? A call goes out from our food pantry - we are short on so many items and the need is great right now. Soon the hallways at church are lined with donations.

We are renewed by the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. We joyfully celebrate the reality of God’s presence from everyday activities to the chaos of life events; we expect the Holy Spirit to move through worship, service, meetings, and meals. Christ-centered programs and community provide a catalyst for spiritual formation. The church is called to share the hope she has in Jesus Christ, the unconditional love of God, and the creative power of the Holy Spirit. Members are involved and invested in the church and demonstrate a dynamic relationship with Christ. All this is reflected in the joy and enthusiasm we show toward one another, church staff, and community. We are compassionate and demonstrate hospitality as we represent a viable presence in the church and community, where we form friendships and partnerships.

What are your service times?
Sunday Morning. Service begins at 9:00am to 10:00am.

What are your services like?
We preach directly from the Bible and sing hymns.

What is your music like?

We mostly sing traditional hymns in worship, but we also share contemporary hymns. We appreciate that different people connect with God in worship through different ways. Our organist, Colene, has played here at our church for over 60 years. We're also blessed with talented musicians who serve God by sharing their gifts.

What should I wear?
Casual works just fine.

What Bible translation do you use?
We teach from the New Revised Standard Version.

Why NRSV?
We appreciate that different translations have different emphasis and perceptions of the biblical text. We value the NRSV because its translators strive to be faithful to the text. It was written by many scholars for a variety of traditions, including Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox faiths, as well as taking into account the Jewish roots of the Old Testament.

We have a nursery for children 2 years and younger.

How do I connect with others?
God's plan is that you would establish relationships with others who will encourage you in your relationship with God.  This community is called church. If you have a desire to be a part of us, then here are a few steps to follow.
