Session has decided that as long as Polk and Dallas countries’ positivity rate continues to remain steady around 15-17%, we will have our Christmas Eve worship service in-person on December 24th at 5:30pm and 7:00pm.  These services will be about 30 minutes long, and we will disinfect the sanctuary between services.  We will have an online worship service available as well.  Below are some guidelines to help make this an opportunity for our church family to come together, while caring for the whole person.

We have had 17 people RSVP so far (and more who expressed interest), so we will offer two services.  If you haven’t specified a time (5:30pm or 7:00pm), please e-mail Jacie your preference for worship service time.

If you haven’t yet contacted Jacie with your RSVP, the deadline will be Friday, December 18th so we can figure out seating and other logistics.

Instead of candles this year, we encourage you to use the flashlight on your phone or bring a flashlight (or another portable source of light) from home, so we can maintain social distance.  We will have glowsticks available for our youth.

In our offering this worship service, while different from years past, we hope and pray for grace and understanding.  We ask those who attend from an area where positivity rate is over 20% to please consider the care of all those present at the services.  I’m also grateful for Session’s consideration of my comfort level and health in making this decision.  This is an exception to the guidelines we’ve set forth, of having 14 days of a positivity rating of under 15%.  That will continue to guide decisions about our regular Sunday morning worship services.
